Most of us would think that there are only 3 dimensions (length , breadth , height) but the reality is that there are total of 11 dimensions. Universe is like a bubble in which many galaxies are present and the string theory suggests that after the big bang many of these universe bubbles were created. Different universes could have different dimensions ( upto 11 ) if the dimension is more than 11 then the universe would become unstable. For those who don't know about wormholes ---- Wormholes are tunnels in space-time which can help in travelling to distant places with a shorter route i.e inside from the wormhole and can also help you to travel back and forth in time There are two possibilities for development of a wormhole : (a) When there is a black hole and leads to a white hole in another place (b) When a body of massive mass bends the fourth dimension (space-time) ,  the bend that is made    creates a  tunnel in space time (wormhole). For those who don't know about white holes ,they are like black holes but have a reverse function than of a black hole.Like a black hole sucks matter , a white hole vomits or throws out matter.
